Lewis Ciminillo was born in Naples, Italy, and after immigrating to the United States, he established a produce company on a street corner in Lima, Ohio distributing the freshest and highest quality produce meats, and cheeses to local restaurants.
Dan, also known as “Pops” Lewis’ tenth child of fourteen, was raised in the family produce business. After 20 years in the family business, decided to open a small pizza shop named Daniello’s after his daughter Danielle. He built a successful business and became well-liked in the community by combining his knowledge of quality products and his Italian heritage.
In 2004, he moved to Cincinnati and named his next restaurant Goodfellows after his three sons. The concept combines some of his favorite elements of a restaurant: good food, sports, and spirits, as well as good people.
